Graham Potter insists Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo is proving those who didn’t believe in him wrong after being criticise for not being worth his £115m fee.
The former Blues boss worked with the Ecuadorian at Brighton, where the midfielder emerged as a full-fledged player.
His value continued to rise as Potter moved to Stamford Bridge, helping Brighton to their highest finish of the season in sixth place.
Caicedo’s talents attracted the attention of Chelsea last summer and he joined Mauricio Pochettino’s side for a huge fee. But his form has dwindled as the team struggles to make a profit.
The 22-year-old has now played a key role in the Blues’ improving form and former boss Potter has heaped praise on the midfielder, saying he is showing everyone his true quality.
“It seems like Chelsea are starting to see the real Moises Caicedo and I’m not surprise they’re doing better now that he’s doing so well.”
“His start with us at Brighton was similar to what happened when he first came to Chelsea, where he felt like he had to struggle and work hard before he came out and showed everyone his real quality.”
“Moses has had to deal with a lot of criticism about his £115m transfer fee and also about his personal experience as a player in terms of what he brings to the team. UFABET so it’s no surprise he’s admit he’s lost some confidence.”
